These magnificent birds are now a common sight in Southern England, even in towns like Farnborough where they hunt along the Cove Brook.....ON the coast they are regularly seen in rock pools hunting for shrimp and small fish in an agile manner.
My thoughts and feelings about the wildlife I see. I am drawn to the vanishing wildlife I encounter, such as the wood-white butterfly, the nightingale and the endangered smooth snake. To these could be added the ancient Shoebill Stork, the Mysterious Marabou, the Mountain Gorilla and the Chimpanzee....and a host of others, great and small.

Here is one of our most beautiful butterflies. Formerly widespread in England it is now restricted to a few sites on the Isle of Wight and on the mainland at the Hordle Cliffs. It is a rare and beautiful sight indeed.
