My thoughts and feelings about the wildlife I see. I am drawn to the vanishing wildlife I encounter, such as the wood-white butterfly, the nightingale and the endangered smooth snake. To these could be added the ancient Shoebill Stork, the Mysterious Marabou, the Mountain Gorilla and the Chimpanzee....and a host of others, great and small.

More views of the hunting heron.
What an awesome prehistoric looking creature the grey heron is....with its danglng legs and outstretched neck.

This marvellous bird kept me entertained for hours while it fished on the the nearby pond. Several eels were caught!

A Yellow Legged Gull and its Herring Gull Mate
Since these two marvelous gulls are closely related, it is perhaps no surprise that these two have paired up and are always seen together here. The Yellow Legged Gull of the North West African coast is rare in the UK and breeding is not usual here.

Today this whimbrel made an appearence. What a fantastic and rare sight. Engimatic and beautiful and very very elegant
