The Endangered Shoebill Stork. This ancient wonder of the bird world stands five feet tall and has a wingspan of more than two metres. It's fossil record dates back at least 33 million years. It is a vanishing giant of Africa.

Cormorants are one of my favourite birds. Their fossil record stretches back 70 million years !
